I've only had a couple Cecropia moths (Hyalophora cecropia) that I raised from late stage larvae, and that was many years ago now, but I've not seen an Atlas Moth in real life. You are quite lucky. ^^
To see the garden has an entire area just for these types of large, non-eating, moths and their cocoons, is very interesting to see in itself.
